SciAstra is a pioneering Indian edtech startup founded in 2021 by alumni of premier science research institutes, with a focused and distinctive mission: preparing students for India’s elite science research institute entrance exams — specifically IISER Aptitude Test (IAT), NEST (for NISER and CEBS), ISI, CMI, IACS, and IISc — rather than the more mainstream JEE and NEET tracks. Founded by Vivek Dwivedi (alumnus of NISER) and co-founders from IISc, IISERs, and other top research institutes, SciAstra has built India’s largest community of science scholars through a platform offering live classes with top research mentors, recorded sessions, structured notes and Daily Practice Papers (DPPs), full-length All India Mock Tests in CBT format, doubt resolution via photo-based upload, and personalized mentorship video calls with scientists from IISc, IISERs, NISER, and even Oxford, Harvard, and Cambridge. Beyond exam preparation, SciAstra publishes detailed guides on science careers beyond JEE and NEET, IISER and NISER admission guides, and research career content — building a comprehensive community platform for students who aspire to become scientists rather than engineers or doctors. The platform has grown to serve thousands of students across India’s tier 2 and tier 3 cities who have historically had no access to coaching or mentorship for science research pathways.
